Foodies Sharing App - app designed for food enthusiasts to discover the top dishes at restaurants and the best eateries in any city.

The current process of finding a quality photo of a specific dish in a specific restaurant is complicated due to existing solutions offering either a pure photo-sharing experience (Instagram) or a review-management one (TripAdvisor, Yelp). The following opportunities are yet to be seized:

• Allow Foodies to discover good visuals of specific dishes in local restaurants quickly

Offering a rich bank of informative dish photos for restaurants of a particular city from the start will allow local Foodies to save valuable time currently spent trying to select the best restaurant to visit and avoid confusion of selecting a dish to try when in a restaurant

• Allow Foodies to easily share selections of restaurants with friends

Letting Foodies easily create “bucket lists” of restaurants they suggest visiting and sharing them with friends will enrich the social experience of enjoying food with friends and make the process of suggesting good places to visit much more simple

Our solution

Multi-Sided Web Platform

To meet the main challenges present, as well as to address some additional opportunities, we developed a platform where Foodies will interact with content added by Business Owner, with each other and with Restaurant Owners in a new, streamlined fashion via user-friendly interfaces.

The solution allows Foodies to:

• Explore and easily search for photos of dishes and restaurant info available on the platform
• Add new dish photos with or without simple reviews and meta information, and share them publicly
• Publish “bucket lists” of selected restaurants and share them with friends
• Follow other Foodies and share new posts with them

The solution allows Restaurant Owners to:

• Specify “featured dishes” to be highlighted in their menus
• Use Foodie functionality with their publications highlighted as “submitted by a Restaurant Owner” on the platform

The solution allows Business Owner to:

• Easily add new restaurants and photos of dishes to the platform with the help of automation; edit existing entries
• Review submissions from Foodies and accept or reject them
• Automatically collect basic statistics on reviews and user engagement
